Our trip to Viana do Castelo

The day of today was the hardest day for us because we had to walk a lot.

As we were going to Viana, our road crossed with the river Miño, so we could see our beloved Spain from the other side of the river. Close to the border it was Praia de Âncora, a really nice beach resort and we made a stop there.

Fifteen more minutes in the bus and we arrived to our destination, Viana do Castelo. The visit started with the Gil Eannes, an old hospital boat made into a museum. It was really big, and we had to stand for a very long time.

After that, we went to eat to a restaurant near the boat. The main dishes were bacalhau and veal steak, but the best were the desserts.

Then, in the afternoon, we visited a chocolate museum. It was a fantastic visit, but the chocolate drink (the original Aztec one) not so much.

Finally, we visit the Santuário do Monte de Santa Luzia. It was on te top of a mountain, as it says its name, and the views of the city were spectacular.

We had a nice day.
