Second day of Alicante mobility and trip to Xixona

Hello again! We're on the second day of Alicante's mobility. The sun is shining today, so no rain expected (good for us because we are going to Xixona today) Indeed, it is a great day for visiting Xixona, or Jijona in Spanish (Xixona is the Valencian name), the cradle of turrón (nougat). Turrón is the Spanish favourite dessert for Christmas, and turrón ice cream is delicious, too.
But before our trip to Xixona we presented "Peace in our culture". The different countries have presented the posters they had done and explained their meaning to the rest of us. At the end of our activity we put all the posters in the wall.

In Xixona we visited the turrón factory "El Artesano".

They gave us a tour around the factory and we did a workshop and learned how to make almendras rellenas. It was easy to prepare them and they were superb.

Back to school, Agustinos PR4 students gave us the "Spanish language lesson". We learned a few words and expressions that we could use in normal situations in Spain, like in a restaurant or in a shop.

The afternoon activity was the "Intenational library", where students presented our mosts famous writers, and we learned a lot of foreign thanks to our friends presentations. We finished our school day with this activity, so we had plenty of free time this afternoon for ourselves.
And we go to Elche tomorrow to visit the Palmeral. See you then.
